Expand image function is not working

Every time I try to use the AI feature ‘Expand an image’ the platforms responds with “Can’t expand transparent background”. It does not matter if the image is added as a Frame fill or is standalone in the page. If it is in ‘Fit’, ‘Fill’ or ‘Crop’ mode. It is just not working.

There was a similar problem about a month ago and it was resolved but now I experience the same error. I need an explanation and a timeline on when this can be resolved. Thanks in advance!
