Having a file consistently open in comment mode with resolved comments showing, no matter how you last left it, isn't expected behavior, so I'd like to help get to the bottom of it. To narrow down what's going on, could you fill me in on a few things:
Which Figma product is this happening in? Figma Design, FigJam, Figma Slides, Figma Make, or Dev Mode?
Where are you seeing this? In a browser (and if so, which one), the desktop app, or the mobile app?
Is this happening on every file you open, or just this one (or files within a specific project)?
How are you usually opening the file? From the files browser, a bookmarked link, or a link from an email or notification?
What's your permission level on this file, do you have edit access, or is it view/comment-only?
If anyone else has access to this file, do they see the same thing when they open it, or is it just on your end?
In the meantime, pressing Esc or Shift + C should exit comment mode for that session. It sounds like it's resetting each time you reopen the file, so that's really the piece I want to understand.
For reference, here's how comment mode and the "Show resolved comments" filter are meant to work: View and manage comments.
Once I hear back on those details I'll be able to dig in further. Thanks for the report!
