Errors in interactions after copying a interactive component from a set to the prototype

For the past week, I’ve been experiencing an error in all my existing files. My component sets include interactions designed to simulate an “in-view” scroll effect. Until recently, these always worked perfectly, they are set up to play once. However, when I insert the component into the prototype, the interactions are always changed in the same way, causing them to be incorrectly displayed as a loop. I can only avoid this by resetting the interactions after copying. The main components work without any issues.

I’ve already read that similar errors have occurred in the past. Has anyone else experienced something similar recently?

Hi @Nina Grylla ,

I understand you're experiencing an issue where the interactions in your component set are not working as expected after inserting an instance into a prototype — specifically, an interaction set to play once is incorrectly changing to a loop.

I tried to replicate this on my end, but since the setup can vary (for example, whether you're using a video with looping disabled, an After delay trigger between frames, or another type of interaction), I wasn't able to reproduce the exact issue you're describing.

Since we're unable to view your file directly here on the Forum due to security and privacy concern, if you're open to it, I'd recommend submitting a bug report so our team can take a closer look:

  1. Go to the Support Hub
  2. Type "Report a bug" and click Start a chat
  3. In the form, please include:
    • A direct link to the affected file with Can view access granted to support-share@figma.com (this won't affect your billing)
    • A screen recording showing the interaction setup and the issue

This will help our team understand your exact setup and investigate more effectively.

Thanks!
