Question

Error: Message can't be sent. Remove some files or text and try again.

Figma Make was working just fine yesterday. Tried using it after my latest prompt and now I only get the error “Message can’t be sent. Remove some files or text and try again.” No matter what prompt I type, files or not, I get this same message.

What was tried:

  1. Shortened the prompt and removed attachments — error persisted.
  2. Reloaded the tab / restarted the app — error persisted.
  3. Duplicated the file and sent the prompt in the copy — error persisted.
  4. Attempted to clear chat context — no option to clear chat context exists in the current Figma Make interface.
  5. Created a brand new Figma Make project and sent a simple prompt — no error occurred.

Hey @Nicholas Busman , Celine from the Figma Community Support team here. Thanks for sharing the error ID and everything you’ve tried!

Since a simple prompt works in a brand-new Make file, the issue may be specific to the affected file and its duplicate. I’ve gone ahead and create a support ticket on your behalf and include your error ID and troubleshooting details so our team can investigate further. For reference, your case number is 2200521 sent to your email address nxxxxa.bxxn@nxxrxr.xxm/

Please reply to the support email with links to the affected file, and grant Can View access to support-share@figma.com so the support team can take a closer look at it. Thank you for your patience!
