Erase text blocks bug

There is a bug when you select a block of text and delete it. It takes the lenght of the block and apply it to new text. It is a very erratic behaviour. You can easily test it on your own in a text box.

Hey hey ​@Andrea Fioretti 👋 Thank you very much for your post. 

I want to make sure I understand what happens after the selected text is deleted and new text is entered. You mentioned that Figma takes the length of the deleted block and applies it to the new text.

  • What specifically happens to the newly typed text? What do you see on the canvas?

  • Could you also share a short screen recording showing the behavior from start to finish?

I hope that helps. It's not about what you type next, but about the fact that it's taking the space right after deleting the deleted block, so you might make mistakes afterwards, exactly because it's selecting stuff that you're not expecting to be selected. It's not a big issue, but I noticed it, and I think it's worth fixing because, after many times, it starts to get annoying.
