Hi,

My Figma account was originally created using Google sign-in. I successfully switched it to email/password, and I can currently log in normally with my existing account.

I am trying to change the account email from [redacted by moderator to remove personal information] to [redacted by moderator to remove personal information].

When I use Settings → Account → Change email, I receive the verification email at the new address and the verification link appears to complete successfully. However:

  • There is no error or success message afterward.
  • Settings → Account continues to show the old email.
  • Refreshing the page does not change anything.
  • I can still only log in using the old email.
  • Both addresses use the same [redacted by moderator to remove personal information] domain.
  • As far as I know, the new Social Media address had never previously been used for another Figma account.

I need to change the login email of this existing account while preserving all Drafts, files and ownership. I do not want to create a new account or transfer the files.

Could a Figma Support Specialist please check why the email-change request is not being applied?

Hey @Jessicacordoba, welcome to Figma Forum and thanks for laying this out.

I can't look up or change account settings from this public space, so I've raised this with our Customer Support team under case: 2106294. Given the sensitivity of this change request, they'll need to verify account ownership before updating.

I've also emailed you, so keep an eye on your inbox — and your spam folder, in case anything gets filtered. You'll be in good hands from here.

Moderator note: I've removed the email addresses from your post to protect your privacy and the security of your account. This is a public, search-indexed space, so it's best to keep addresses out of it. Thanks for understanding.
