I’m a programme manager and teacher at Oslo Nye Fagskole in Norway. I was granted an educational licence about a year ago, but recently I’ve started receiving repeated emails warning that my licence is expiring.

 

Each time, I follow the link in the email to confirm my eligibility. When I click it, I get the message: “You’re in! You are now verified with Figma for Education.” However, a few days later, I receive the same expiry warning again.

 

What to do… tried to contact support then get a message I can only get help through this support forum

I can’t access account-specific details here, but I saw you reached out to our Support team earlier today. Were you able to get things sorted? If not, double-check that you sent your message to education@figma.com.

 

The team members looking after these inquires may ask for:

  • a current URL for your institution
  • a school-issued ID
  • a transcript, receipt, or proof of enrollment

Thanks ​@Tom Reem. No the support ticket got closed straight away and I was just directed to the forum here. I will try the email address you shared. 

When I go through the “verify education status” I just get straight away that I am already verified, but then I still get these email that it is expiring. 

So I will try education@figma.com and if that doesn't solve it I might return here ;)


Hi you all at Figma, sorry for all the messages, but as mentioned before I am desperate, I have now contacted some of the people in my board of directors to the program Digital Designer here at Yrgo in order to seek help me with contacts hence new mail addresses: Max Thunberg at Volvo and Pontus Brenner at Humblebee: 

 

Hi, I have had an educator licence the last 8 years (2017) and all my files are on this account. I ended up also having to buy a licence last spring to another account as I often got the updates later than my students and I wanted to be on top of Figma o show them ((redacted by the moderator due to PII) a pro account). First I got and education access on that account but now that is gone too and my educ-address still does not have it. (redacted by the moderator due to PII) with all my files and documentation for assignments is soon locked (or does it dissapear!). I sent a number of documents to ensure I am an educator but none seem to have worked to make sure I am a teacher. I only get the response that I am "enthusiastic".

I hope you can help me. I am scared I will no longer be able to use my teaching files and show old inspirations ex.

Just to clarify, Figma doesn’t directly review or approve educator eligibility. That part is fully handled by SheerID, our verification partner. Since you’ve already been in contact with them (and even exchanged documents), the best next step is to continue that conversation with SheerID so they can confirm your status as an educator.

If you reply to their latest message and CC education@figma.com, our Education team can stay looped in on the case as well.

And please don’t worry, your existing projects and files won’t be deleted while this is being sorted out. You’ll still have access to them.
