Education Verification Error: "Verification Limit Exceeded" (SheerID Approved)

Hi Figma Support Team,

I am writing to resolve a technical block on my account. I have been successfully verified as a student by SheerID, but I am unable to activate the Education plan on Figma due to a "Verification Limit Exceeded" error.

The Issue: Despite having my status confirmed, when I follow the steps to verify my classroom/student plan, I receive the following message:

"Verification Limit Exceeded. We're glad you're enthusiastic, but it looks like you've already redeemed or attempted to redeem this offer."

My Details:

  • Figma Account Email: [Insert your email address]

  • SheerID Status: Confirmed (I received the "Congratulations" email from the EDU Verification Team).

  • The Conflict: SheerID has told me that my academic status is active and that I must contact Figma to finalize the account update because the "limit" is being enforced on your end.

Requested Action: Could you please manually sync my SheerID verification to my Figma account or reset the verification limit so I can complete the process?

I have attached a screenshot of both the SheerID confirmation email and the "Verification Limit Exceeded" error for your records.

When you've hit your verification limit, you'll need to contact the SheerID support team directly at figmasupport@sheerid.com to reset your limit so you can continue with your verification.

Since Figma partners with SheerID to verify all higher education student applications, they handle the verification process and can resolve this specific error for you.

Once SheerID resets your verification limit, you'll be able to complete the verification process and gain access to edit education files.

Also, I can confirm that you’ve already created a support ticket (#1831494), and I’ve submitted an expedite request to ensure our internal team can review it more quickly.
