Hello,

I’m currently using the Figma Education Plan as a student enrolled at Coursera (also student in a spanish UX/UI online school)

I received an email about verifying my educational status, as usual I select the “Bootcamp and Online program. But I don't have the option to self-verify on my end. I’ve this message :

Bootcamp students & educators: You cannot self-verify, you must be verified by your bootcamp. Please reach out to them directly with any questions.Bootcamp admins: To be added to Figma’s list of approved bootcamps, please apply here. Once you have been approved, you can verify your students.”

But in my case is not a bootcamp but an Online Program. I contact Coursera, and they tell me that they don't have anything to do, that I must do the self-verification…

I don't know if the problem is
a. that the message should only appear for bootcamps and is also appearing for online courses.
b. Or that online academies like Coursera aren't informed that from now on they have to perform verification on behalf of students.

Could someone clarify how I should proceed?

Anyone in a similar situation  has been able to complete the verification successfully?

thanks in advance! 🙏

Hey @Maria Morente , thanks for reaching out to the Figma Forum! I understand the confusion.

At the moment, I can confirm that the verification process is the same for bootcamps and online courses.
In your case, you’ll have access to the Starter plan, which still includes core benefits such as creating up to three FigJam files, three Figma Design files, and three Figma Slides files with a maximum of three pages per design file. You can invite as many people as you want to view or edit these files.

If you have further questions about your specific program, I’d recommend reaching out directly to Coursera support, as they’ll be best positioned to clarify your options. Thank you!

Thanks @Celine_  So, i understand that figma for education is no longer a option for online students?

I' currently working in one of my schools with a shared file, im not going to be able to use anymore then? How i can then finish my work?

Im currently a student in coursera an tribux academy. Both with online format.

No, online courses (and students enrolled in them) are also eligible for the Figma for Education Plan, the same as bootcamps (you can see this noted in our guide here)

In your case, the best next step would be to reach out directly to Coursera so they can clarify your specific options with them. Hope this helps clear things up!
