Education plan fails to verify

Julz

Hello,

I am currently a student and using my university email address with Figma. However, I am experiencing an issue with my education verification and cannot access the Figma Education benefits.

I already contacted SheerID regarding this matter. They informed me that my verification process was successfully completed on their side and that the status was forwarded to Figma. According to them, the issue is not on their end.

At the same time, I am unable to re-submit my verification because SheerID only allows verification once every 365 days. Whenever I try again, I receive a message saying that I have already submitted a request.

This leaves me in a situation where my student verification seems to have been lost or not properly processed by Figma.

Could you please help me understand what might have gone wrong and how this issue can be resolved?

I urgently need access to the Figma Education plan, as I am currently working towards completing my bachelor’s degree this year.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Best regards,
Julia

Hey Julia,

Dave here from Figma’s Community Support team.

Thanks for taking the time to explain everything. I completely understand how stressful this must be, especially with your studies ongoing and the verification limit preventing you from trying again.

Since SheerID has confirmed your verification was successful on their side, this suggests something hasn’t fully come through to Figma rather than an issue with your eligibility. The best next step is to contact the Education team directly at education@figma.com so they can take a closer look and help resolve this for you. When you reach out, it would really help to include your Figma account email and any confirmation you received from SheerID.

If you already have a support ticket open, feel free to share the ticket number here as well and I can help nudge things internally.

Really appreciate your patience here, we’ll get this sorted for you 🙂

Thanks,
Dave
