Dev Mode not available despite professional full seat

Im working on this website.
Im in Professional Plan.
Everything is up to date: app, payment, cache.
I have searched for answers and none worked.
I want to enter, use, whatever in Dev Mode in my design but nothing works.
I even want to install Figma to Code plugins and the design Im working on does not appear.
Im losing my patience and my joy for Figma although I understand Im new.
Urgently help, please.

Got it — thanks for your reply, ​@Oneironauta! That confirms it: You're in Figma Sites, which explains what you're running into. The good news is this isn't a plan or seat limitation. Dev Mode and plugins just live in different file types.

Here's where things stand with Figma Sites regarding what you’ve brought up here:

  • Dev Mode is only available in Figma Design files, so it isn't part of the Sites editor. This has come up before and we’re tracking this request: Regarding the Figma Site with Dev Mode. For a deeper overview, have a look here: Guide to Dev Mode.
  • Plugins aren't supported in Figma Sites yet — Use plugins in files lists the file types where they run, and we’ll keep that updated as things evolve. ​@Celine_ shared where this stands: "It's currently on our roadmap, though we can't share a specific timeline yet."   • To use Dev Mode and plugins with this design, the current path is copying your design into a Figma Design file, where both work. I want to be upfront that not everything makes it across. Code layers and embeds arrive as static image snapshots rather than editable layers.

 

I've passed along your interest in Dev Mode and plugin support for Sites. Please let me know if any questions come up after getting everything into Figma Design. Anything account-specific will come from Customer Support under ticket: 2114555, at the email address on your account.

Hi ​@Oneironauta — welcome to Figma Forum, and thanks for flagging this.

Sorry about the trouble. First, I went to check this out and our Customer Support team has your report under this ticket: 2114555. They can see the account and file details I can't access from this public thread — keep an eye on the inbox tied to your account.

As a starting point in the meantime: You mentioned you're working on a website, and Figma has a few different file types that each come with their own tools. For a complete list, have a look at this guide: Create a new file.

Two things that would point me in the right direction:

  1. What does the file's URL look like — specifically the bit right after figma.com/? That tells me which editor you're working in (e.g. Figma Design, Figma Sites, or Figma Make), which changes what we should be pointing you to.
  2. Are you seeing any specific error messages? If so, can you respond with the steps leading up to it, a screen shot of the message, and any other details on the unexpected behavior?

Reply whenever you get a chance, and between your case with Customer Support and the community here, we'll take a deeper dive. 🙏🏻

Thanks for helping.

Its a Figma Site.
The URL is figma.com/site/
There is no error nor message. Using shortcuts (command + d) or looking in any option available has no effect; even if I look for it in any part of the UI.
If I search tutorials, fixes or any stuff related, even the UI is different.
I have created new files to see if it was the one I was making and no matter the type, didn’t work.
Even if I tried to instal plugins from the web app, I could not see this time my file to use that plugin on. I paid for one that worked and I successfully used (was not what I was looking for) but it is not working with the ones like Figma to Code or similar.
