Critical bug: design disappeared with version history

I lost all of yesterday afternoon’s design updates across multiple pages in a file, and there’s no version history recorded for those hours. Is there any way to recover updates from that specific time?

When I was working in Figma, my network connection was stable and I didn’t see any offline changes message, which makes it really strange that a chunk of my work just vanished.

Hey ​@steph_p - so sorry to hear about this. I understand that this may be causing delays in your work, so I’ll get you some help.

Since this involves loss of work and suspected issues with version history, it would be best if the file you were working on was reviewed by someone on the support team.

Can you please PM me the following info?

  • The email address of your Figma account (if it is not the same you have your community forum account registered with)
  • The team the file lives in (and also a direct link to it)
  • The name of the file itself.
  • If you are able to, can you please share view-only access to the file with support-share@figma.com? This is the official support email that allows the team to review files, and you will not be charged for anything.
