Hello, I’m having an issue in Figma Make in one specific project.

Error: “Couldn’t connect, check your internet and try again”

Request ID: 2bb20fca-4588-4fa8-8693-f8794a7247ae

Behavior:

  • In this project, Make stops processing my prompts/requests and shows the error banner.

  • Other Figma Make projects work normally.

  • If I create a clone, it may work for one request, then the same error appears again.

What I tried:

  • VPN and blockers disabled

  • Tested on Mac (Safari) and on phone with mobile data (same result)

I can provide a short screen recording if needed. Screenshots attached.

Any help from Figma team would be appreciated.

Hi @Artem1233, Céline from Figma here. Thanks for sharing the details and for outlining what you’ve already tried.

The “Couldn’t connect, check your internet and try again” error usually points to a network issue preventing Figma from connecting properly. It’s great that you’ve already tested with VPNs and blockers disabled and tried a mobile connection.

A few additional things to check:

  • If you’re on a work or managed network, your IT team may need to ensure Port 443 is unblocked, as this is required for Figma to connect (read more).

  • Try restarting your router by unplugging it for a few seconds, then plugging it back in.

Since this seems to be happening only in one specific Make project, and the issue persists even after cloning, it would be helpful for our support team to investigate this more closely. I’ve sent you a DM with next steps so you can reach out to them via a secure form.

Update: Artem1233 confirmed that Figma Make started working again on its own and the error disappeared. I’ve gone ahead and closed the topic here.
