Copy link broken

The new copy link dropdown in the share window copies links without the proper file ID like https://www.figma.com/slides/null when it’s opened from the project and not within the file itself.

Hi ​@emem,

 

I understand you’re seeing an issue where the copied Slides file share link results in https://www.figma.com/slides/null.

 

I’ve tested this on my end and can reproduce it. Here are the steps I followed:

  1. Open the file browser
  2. Right-click a Slides file
  3. Select “Share” to open the modal
  4. Click “Copy link” and choose “Slides file” from the dropdown
  5. The resulting URL is https://www.figma.com/slides/null

I also observed that the Presentation link works correctly, and that the Share modal inside a Slides file correctly copies both link types.

 

I’ll go ahead and create an internal report for our team to investigate this further.
In the meantime, please use the Share modal from within the Slides file.
