Hey @Christel_Agier, thank you for flagging this! In general this kind of error indicates that there's a network security app, like a firewall or VPN, blocking access to our servers.

If this is your personal network, we'd suggest you allow list our domain (*.figma.com) in any network security apps as shown in Adjust your network settings. If this doesn't help, we'd suggest you restart your modem / router and computer, install any pending OS updates, and then contact your ISP for ongoing assistance.

If this is a shared network or managed device, please contact your IT Admins and share this article Adjust your network settings with them.

Please let me know if you have any follow up questions or ongoing connection issues and I'll be happy to help where we can.

Thank you for your reply!

I haven't changed anything and everything is working correctly 🤷🏻. I’ll let you know if I encounter this error again.
Have a nice day!

Glad to hear everything is working again, thanks for the update!

You’re right, that does sound a bit odd, but if it comes up again, please don’t hesitate to reach out and let me know.

Have a great weekend!

Error -109 usually shows up when Figma can’t reach its servers, often because something on your network—like a firewall or VPN—is interrupting the connection. Sometimes it fixes itself if the network briefly hiccups, which seems to be what happened for you. If it comes back, checking your network settings or reaching out to your IT team can help make sure Figma has a clear path to connect.
