Question

Components are not updating

I sometimes experience issues where components don't update.
And there isn't any visible update possible anymore, not in the assets or directly through the icon on the component.

The only solution that works is using "reset to default," but this is frustrating since I've already set properties and other configurations. Is there a reason for this, or is there another way to trigger the update?

Thanks!

same here, selected components ae properly linked, but they are not updated. Even pasting the last component from the librabry to the design file doesn’t help and they reverse their changes

same problem here. It seems like a relatively new issue?? among other Figma updates related to AI??

Hey everyone, thanks for reporting this! Just to better understand what's happening, is this occurring with a specific library or across multiple libraries?

Also, when the issue happens, can you confirm whether you're working from the latest published version of the library? If not, try publishing the latest changes and then updating the library in the affected file.

Since one of you mentioned that Reset to default resolves the issue, it's also worth checking whether the affected instances have overrides that may be preventing component updates from appearing as expected.

If the problem persists, please submit a bug report to our Technical Quality team so they can investigate further: Go to the Support Hub / Type “Report a bug” / Click Start a chat / Select Enter and follow the prompts.
In the form, please include: a screen recording, links to both the library file and affected file and grant Can View access to support-share@figma.com.

This will help the team reproduce the issue and investigate further. Thanks!
