Lately, components have been behaving differently than when they were created. Here's an example.
The text does not change color completely when hovering, it is the same text field.

I have the feeling it's caused by the text in the link being edited. The components also no longer update correctly once the different text has been inserted. Is there a solution for this?

Hey @Svenja_Hopp — welcome to Figma Forum, and thanks for sharing this with us! 👋🏻

The unexpected behavior after editing text sounds like it should not be happening. Before we potentially file a potential bug report, here are few things you might check that could help narrow this down:

  • Is this happening in the browser or the Figma Desktop App? If it’s the desktop app, make sure you’re on the latest version (125.7.5) and see if updating helps.
  • Could there be any overrides applied to those component instances? Here’s a quick guide on checking: Apply changes to instances.
  • Are these components coming from a published library, and if so, has anyone else on your team recently published updates that may affect them?

If you’ve confirmed all of the above and it’s still happening, could you share a bit more detail on the steps leading up to this issue, and how the interactions/smart animations are set up in the Prototype tab? A short screen recording of the hover behavior would be especially helpful for understanding what you’re aiming to achieve.

Appreciate you raising this, and I’ll keep an eye out for your reply so we can dig in further together.
