"Command" recently switched to Control on MacBook?

I use a MacBook and heavily rely on Figma Jam as my whiteboard for daily work and notes. Recently, I suddenly found that I can no longer use shortcuts like Command + | or Command + Z; they have unexpectedly switched to Control + |. I checked my MacBook settings and didn't find any changes, and I haven't updated the system. I used to use Command + various function keys without any issues. I hope someone can help explain this.

Hi @Jamess Wang

Have you changed Keyboard Layout recently?

Could you try the troubleshooting below?

  • Close any Figma tabs you're not using
  • Browser: Force-quit and open Figma in a new browser window.
  • Desktop App: Force-quit the Figma Desktop app and restart it. If the issue persists, try clearing the cache.

Please let me know how that works!

Thanks,
Toku

Hi Toku,

I haven't changed any settings. I followed your advice and restarted the browser, and even updated Chrome, but the issue persists. I can only use Command+C and Command+V; other basic editing functions like Command+B or Command+A can now only be performed using Control+B. It's really strange, and I haven't received any notifications about system updates.

Thanks for your help!
