Question

Color picker color model resets to CSS

Starting today, the color picker no longer remembers my last chosen color model and reset to CSS ever time I open it. See recording.

It’s the same on macOS app and in the browser (Chrome).

“Reset Figma and restart” didn’t help.

Hey @Roman_Davydko 🤩 Thank you very much for flagging this. I get the same result using a Mac and the Desktop app. My simple test:

  • create a Frame
  • add a shape
  • set Fill to CSS (any color)
  • click out to close picker
  • reopen Fill panel > select HSL and set to 10,10,10
  • click out to close
  • reopen and CSS shows but the HSL color value itself remains intact

If you have any other details about this, please let me know and I’ll pass them along. — Jaycee

Yep, that’s exactly what happens. Not just HSL, by the way, — HSB switches back to CSS in the same way (with rgba() value in the field).

I’ve been experiencing the same issue starting today, both in macOs app and browser. It appears it reverts to css only after changing it’s values in HSL and HSB color models, and not in RGB and Hex. It is very frustrating. I have reset the app, the file, and tried in new files as well. The problem persists. It seems to be related to the latest update. I am on version 126.9.11.
