Hey @barnboy , glad to hear it’s working now!
If you run into it again, feel free to reach out again in the Figma Forum (with any errors message, if it impacts only in a specific file), happy to take a closer look!

I’ve gone ahead and marked as solved your topic here :)

Me again. Ok, have made a simple carousel in a code layer, uses the image picker to get imahges into the slides, but each time i add images they appear to be there in the chat window but then disappear in the actual page and don’t publish. Have spent about two hours trying to fix this in both the desktop app and browser and nothing seems to work - I’ve about 60 to build so if anyone’s got any tips to save me going (more) grey, would appreciate :(

Oh, and publishing seems to be hanging on the browser version which is also making testing/reviewing a nightmare.

Really random behaviour across different instances of the same code layer being used across pages. Images in the Design sidebar are showing as present but then not being pushed at publishing, some images simply won’t load at all - one image will, the rest, which are all the same size and format, won’t show. Slightly doing my head in lol

Thanks for sharing the details here! This looks odd, since this seems to start with prompts in the code layer, try these quick steps if you haven't yet:

  • Force quit and reopen the app
  • Duplicate the file and try from there
  • Clear your cache on the browser version

If you're still seeing images disappear or publishing hang after that, it'd be great if you could submit a bug report so our team can take a closer look.
Here's how: Go to the Support Hub, / Type “Report a bug” / Click Start a chat and select Enter

In the form, please include the URL of the file and grant "Can View" access with support-share@figma.com , and a short screen recording. This allows the team to reproduce the issue and take a closer look at your specific case, thanks!

I’ll try the app re-opening in a bit (but I did that several times in both desktop and browser before posting up the problem and that didn’t help), but am now wrestling to fix another issue in another code layer that worked last week but now doesn’t for no reason at all :( very frustating day here lol

Yay, glad the code layer issue is sorted!

For the missing image problem, good call on opening a ticket. I’ve already added a note to your case so the team has context when they pick it up. You’ll hear from them via email. Hope this last bit gets sorted quickly!

Hey Celine, am back with the same issue. Really tearing my hair out here lol.

Thought I might have fixed this - created a new code layer and asked it not to use fallback images. It worked once, then when I duplicated the slider to another page it broke.

Added this question into the chat -

"image 2 is not publishing, it's returning a 404 in the browser consule - can you fix that so the images I've added definitely publish?"

Got this response -

"I've added error handling so that if an image fails to load (like the 404 on image 2), the carousel will automatically skip to the next image. This should help the carousel continue working smoothly even if there's an issue with one of the image assets publishing.

However, the 404 error itself is likely a Figma asset publishing issue. You might want to try re-uploading image 2 or checking that it's properly included in your published site. The error handling I added will at least keep the carousel functioning by skipping over any broken images."

So is this a Make API issue then?

Hey, sorry you're still running into this!

Based on what you're seeing, the 404 suggests an image isn't being published or referenced correctly but it's hard to say for sure from here. I can see your case has already been flagged to our technical quality team, so they're best placed to investigate this further. I've added a note to your case as well.

I'd recommend continuing the conversation directly via your support case. The team will be able to dig into your file properly and get to the bottom of it. Hope this gets sorted for you soon! 🙏
