Cmd+b causing bugs

Question

Is anyone else experiencing this? > text styles turning bold randomly without using cmd+b. When I create a frame around a style is also triggering my text style to become bold. It’s driving me CRAZY. I’ve been experiencing SO MANY bugs it’s hard to get work done without feeling frustrated and gaslit.

Hi @Jade12, Thanks for getting in touch about this. Sorry to hear about the trouble you’re experiencing.

I’m not certain if I’ve grasped the issue entirely, but are you facing the following problems?:

Text in a text layer becomes bold without applying Cmd+B to that text layer.
When placing a text layer in a frame, the text becomes bold.

Or is the font weight of a text style that you create and apply to your design unintentionally changing?

I’ve attempted to replicate the issue on my end but haven’t had any success so far.
Could you tell us if this is happening in the Desktop app, in supported browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge, or in both environments?
Additionally, could you please try a few troubleshooting steps for us?:

Close any unused Figma tabs
For Browser: Force-quit and open Figma in a new browser window.
For Desktop App: Force-quit the Figma Desktop app and restart it.
Clearing the app or browser cache

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, could you please share a recording demonstrating the issue, capturing the entire Figma screen?
This will help our community visualize the problem and test for replication.
