Charged but Account Downgraded to Free

Hello Figma Support Team,

I canceled my Pro plan earlier today. My account is now showing as a Starter plan, and I no longer have access to Pro features. However, I was charged $15.96 on February 24 at 23:08 (KST).

Since I have been charged but do not have access to Pro features, this appears to be a billing or system error. Please review my account and issue a refund as soon as possible.

Hey @Seoyoung Lee, thanks for reaching out! 

When a Professional plan is cancelled, the team normally remains on the Pro plan until the end of the current billing period, and then it downgrades to Starter. Any seats added before the downgrade will be prorated and reflected on the final invoice.

Since your team is now on the Starter plan, the charge $15.96 you’re seeing is most likely the final prorated invoice for the last active billing period.

Regarding refunds, Figma subscriptions are generally non-refundable per our refund policy. That said, I completely understand wanting clarity around the charge. I can see that you’ve already contacted our support team (#1762343), and I’ll flag this internally to help ensure someone follows up with you as soon as possible.

However, I’m still confused. You mentioned that the team normally remains on the Pro plan until the end of the current billing period. If that is the case, I should still have access to Pro features.

At the moment, my account is already on the Starter (Free) plan, and I no longer have access to any Pro features.

Also, this is a personal account used only by me. I do not have any team members, and no additional seats were added.

If the $15.96 charge is for the last active billing period, could you please clarify exactly what this charge covers, including the billing period dates and seat details?

Hey ​@Seoyoung Lee, I took another look at your ticket (#1762343) to clarify what happened.

Your Pro plan was canceled on February 24, 2026, and the team was downgraded to the Starter plan at that time, which is why you no longer see Pro features.

Regarding the $15.96 chargeSupport confirmed that this invoice was generated when your seat was upgraded from a Collab seat to a Full seat on January 26, 2026. 

Since the upgrade happened mid-cycle, the amount was prorated. The charge covers the Full seat from January 26 through February 24, 2026 (the end of that billing period).
