change to variant it doesn't work

Hi,
I’m experiencing an issue with the “Change to Variant” interaction:

I created a simple component with two variants.

Added an interaction: On click → Change to → Variant2 (Instant animation).

When I open Present mode and click the trigger element, nothing happens.

What I have already tried:

Tested both in desktop app and browser (Chrome / Edge) – same result.

Created a completely new file with a simple rectangle component and two variants – still not working.

Tried clearing cache, re-logging, restarting the app.

My account is on the Free (Starter) plan, but according to the docs this feature should be available.

It looks like the prototyping engine simply ignores “Change to Variant”.
Could someone from the Figma team or community help me figure out what might be blocking variant switching?
