Change of Email not working for my student account

Hello, 

I am looking to change my email for my student account, but that has not been working, whenever I try a new email id and try to verify it. The verification link pops open and gives an error “ Sorry, your link has expired or is malformed.” I tried with 3 different ID’s but it ended up creating a 3 new figma accounts. 

I would love to get some help regarding this. Cause, I do not want to lose all my school work.

Hi ​@Shraddha Jain , thanks for reaching out. Sorry to hear you're running into this issue. This error can occur if the verification link is opened while you're signed into a different Figma account. The verification process needs to be completed while you're signed into your original/ old account, rather than the new email address you're switching to.

As a first step, please try the following:

1. Sign into your email in a supported browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge, or Firefox)
2. Sign into Figma with your original account in that same browser
3. Open the verification email
4. Right-click "Verify Email" → copy link URL
5. Paste it into a new tab in that same browser, while still logged into the original account
6. If that still doesn't work, try the same steps in an incognito/private window

Since you've already attempted this several times and it resulted in three additional Figma accounts being created, I've also gone ahead and created a support ticket on your behalf for further investigation. For reference, your case number is #2016648 via your email address bxxx95@gxxxl.xxm,.
