Change email error: incorrect password

I am trying to change the email associated with another Figma account that I have and receiving an “incorrect password” error whenever I attempt to make the change. Here is what happens, step-by-step:

  1. Open ‘Settings’
  2. Select ‘Change email’
  3. Type in requested info: ‘New email’ and ‘Confirm password’
  4. Click ‘Submit’ button
  5. Form does not submit and a red pop-up appears at the top of the page: ‘You entered an incorrect password.’

I have double-checked that I am using the correct password and even updated it just in case.

Hey ​@Moriah Taylor! When you sign up for Figma via Google SSO, your email address and password will be Managed by Google. This means that you won't be able to update your email address or password in Figma.
 
If you want to change your Google email address or password, you will need to do this in your Google account. For detailed instructions, follow the Google Support links below:

The email of the account I’m struggling to change is not a Gmail account, so this is not helpful.
