When having to force line breaks on centre aligned copy, is it possible to ignore the space character, Currently the centring takes the space into account which make the text appear not centred.

There might be a scenario where people want space characters to be taken into account (although I have never come across that in the last 20 years in the industry.)

So if you want to keep the current behaviour, maybe we can have a option to turn it off in the paragraph setting?

With forced line break
without forced lined break, space character gets ignored

Hey @Pu_Koh — thanks for bringing this up.

I see exactly what you mean: When using center-aligned text, pressing Return or Enter while the cursor is placed before or after a space causes that space to carry over to the next line, which affects the alignment. I tested it on my end too, and for now, manually removing the trailing space is the solution to maintain true center alignment.

I’m sharing this with the product team and highlighting how automating this could help prevent layout issues and save time. If there are other ways this affects your workflow — feel free to call them out here. The more context we have, the better we can advocate for improvements. 🙏🏻
