I am writing to express my strong frustration regarding a major usability issue in the current version of Figma.
-
In Dark Mode, ruler-based guides are rendered in a light, desaturated color.
-
When working on white or light-colored frames, these guides become nearly invisible, making precise alignment impossible.
-
Unlike Layout Grids, there is no option to customize the color or opacity of ruler-based guides.
This lack of contrast is a significant accessibility failure that negatively impacts design productivity and precision. Telling users to "switch to Layout Grids" is not a solution, as ruler guides serve a completely different purpose for ad-hoc alignment and quick measurements.
Please provide a way to customize the color of ruler guides (e.g., via preferences or individual frame settings) to ensure they are visible regardless of the interface theme or the color of the frame being worked on.
