Hi -

I ordered a full seat Professional plan and when I try to upload MP4 files into the Add Images and Files into the prompt, I get the Open window with Custom Files as the file type. This does not show the MP4s I have on my machine. When I change to All Files and then click on the MP4 to open, I get an error “Can’t upload some file types.” The Learn More button is not helpful. The video size is way under the 200MB limit and I can verify that this works (the exact same video files) for another connected account using the organization plan. So, I know that this is a problem with the Professional account. I have verified this on two separate Professional accounts. This functionality was promised in Professional mode and it is COMPLETELY blocking a project.

Hi @brian03, Celyn from Figma Community Support here. Thanks for taking the time to share all of this detail.

I understand that you were able to upload MP4 files on an Organization plan, however you’re getting an error when doing the same on a Professional plan.

Since you’re seeing different behavior across accounts, I’d like to double check this with the team to confirm what’s expected here and make sure we’re giving you the most accurate guidance.

I’ll follow up here once I’ve confirmed this with the team. Thanks for your patience in the meantime 🙏

Hey @brian03, thanks for your patience.

Just to clarify, MP4 is a supported format in Figma Make across all plans, with a file size limit of up to 200MB on Professional, Organization, and Enterprise plans, so there shouldn’t be plan-specific differences in supported formats here.

One quick thing to check: there’s a limit of up to 500 total attachments per file on these plans, and hitting that limit can block new uploads - could you double check this on your end?

To help narrow this down:

  • Does this happen in all Make files or just a specific one?
  • Roughly how many attachments are already in that file?

Let me know, and we can take a closer look at what might be causing this.
