I am unable to update the social links in my Figma Community profile. The fields for my X.com  and Instagram accounts do not save any changes I make.
Show me a toast like : ‘X handle is not valid. Somebody had the same problem.
At the moment of publish or update any file, Figma shows me that the actual url are wrong and dont let me continue.

I’ve hit this too, seems like a bug. Eventually it worked, entered only the handle. At first it still didn’t save, but when I tried again later with the exact same handle, it worked.

Hi @Ariel Barrios, thanks for flagging this issue!

I just tried updating my social handles on my own Figma Community profile, and they updated as expected. May I ask how you were entering your Social handles?

As mentioned by @Sitsiilia, you only need to enter your handle, not the full URL or use an @ symbol before your handle. This is why when clicking into the field the https://x.com/ or https://instagram.com/ disappears.

If you continue to have issues with this, please let me know.

Hi, thanks for the response. What I'm trying to do is update those fields. Unfortunately —or maybe not so unfortunately— I filled them in without using handles, but with direct URLs that don’t belong to X or Instagram. At the time, I thought it was allowed —or at least not flagged as an error.
Now, when I try to remove those apocryphal URLs, even though I delete them, the changes don’t save. The next time I open the community profile page, those apocryphal URLs appear again.

I will be happy with just only reset default the values, my goal is to just only be able to publish a file again
Thanks

Hi @Ariel Barrios, thanks for clarifying!

I flagged this over to our Community team, and they confirmed that they’re working on a fix to allow you to publish updates to your files.

That said, I just tested removing a Social handle or URL link all together, and it’s still updating as expected for me. When you try to remove your apocryphal URLs and they do not save, is this occurring in both the desktop app and the browser?

With more details, our team can try to pinpoint the issue with your Social channels.
