I had two files open on Figma desktop app.

I restarted my Mac and the two files cannot be found anywhere. I have checked deleted (by anyone) as well. They are not there in my recently closed history.

Please help.

Hi @AAKRITI_MANSINGHKA , Thank you for reaching out about this.

I understand that you're having trouble locating your file.

Have you checked the "Deleted drafts" tab in the "Drafts to move" section ?

Also, it looks like you have access to a few teams. Please double-check within each team by switching teams in your file browser, as well as the following locations for each team.

If you still can't find your file after checking these locations, please share the file URL. I can then connect you with our support team for further assistance.

You might be able to retrieve the URL from:

  • Your web browser’s history.
  • Any previous conversations where you shared the file with colleagues.
  • The 'File > Recently Closed' menu if you're using the desktop app.

Thanks again for reaching out!

Hi,

There is no “Drafts to move” section..

I am on two teams and have checked for both. I have also checked Trash and Drafts.

I am not able to retrieve the URL. As I am using desktop app, there is no browser history of the files. they  were private files, and I did not share them with my team.. They are not found in “recently closed”, maybe because I opened a few other files in last few days….

The two files I am looking for are- “Paw Patrol” and “Aakriti Portfolio (Copy) (Copy)”

Can you please guide me?

@Junko3 please help. All my recent work are on those 2 files and my client needs the files now.

Hey, thanks for getting back to me.

I can definitely get our support team to look into this by creating a ticket for you. But, we'll need the file URL, otherwise it'll be tough to find it.

Have you tried checking the 'File > Recently Closed' menu on your desktop app?

If you see the file name there, just click it. Right-clicking the tab you've opened in the desktop app has a 'copy link' option that gives you the file's URL.
