Our team is on the Organization plan (annual billing), and we're trying to get in touch with our Account Manager [redacted by moderator to remove personal information] regarding some questions about the Additional AI Credits plan. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to reach them, and we also can't find a direct way to contact the sales team. Could someone advise who we should contact for billing and subscription inquiries related to AI credits? We tried to submit contact form but didn’t ghet any nswer/reply so far.

We're specifically trying to understand how the Additional AI Credits plan works for Organization customers. When we attempt to purchase additional AI credits, the only option presented appears to be an annual purchase aligned with our existing contract term, even though the UI refers to "monthly credits" and indicates that the credits reset each month.

A few things we'd love to clarify:

1. Monthly vs. Annual Commitment

Is the AI Credits subscription an annual commitment that must align with our Organization plan contract term, or is there an option to purchase additional AI credits on a month-to-month basis without the annual commitment?

For example, on the Professional plan, there appears to be an option to purchase additional AI credits monthly. We're wondering whether a similar option is available for customers on an annually billed Organization plan.

2. Cancellation & Renewal

Regarding cancellation of the AI Credits subscription:

  • Is the 30-day cancellation/downgrade window tied to our Organization plan renewal date, or does the AI Credits subscription have its own separate renewal date?
  • Can AI Credits be canceled independently, or only when our entire Organization plan comes up for renewal?
  • If we commit to an annual AI Credits subscription but only end up needing it for 2-3 months, is there any refund or proration for the unused portion?
  • Or are we billed for the full annual term regardless of actual usage?

Context on Our Usage

Our team has 7 designers, but typically only 3-4 people exceed their monthly AI credit allocation, and that varies depending on the project.

Our ideal solution would be a shared monthly pool (for example, around 7,500 credits per month) that heavier users could draw from as needed.

Because our AI usage is highly project-dependent and fluctuates throughout the year, there will likely be months where we use very few additional credits. That's why we're hesitant to commit to an annual AI Credits subscription and potentially pay for capacity we don't need.

We also explored pay-as-you-go, but at $0.03 per credit, it appears to be more expensive than a fixed monthly pool based on our expected usage.

Given this scenario:

Is a predictable, fixed monthly AI credit purchase available for Organization plans? If not, what would you recommend as the best option for providing additional AI credits to a subset of designers without overcommitting to an annual contract?

Thanks in advance for any guidance. We'd appreciate being pointed to the right contact as well if this is something that should be discussed directly with Sales or Account Management.

Hi @Kim Nguyen — welcome to Figma Forum and thanks for flagging this.

I checked in with our Customer Support team and they replied to your inquiry just before I got to your post here. Please check your inbox for case: 2073776. I've also raised your post internally so the right team can pick up the account-specific parts, since we can't get into account and personal details on a public thread.

On your first two questions, here's some more context. For Organization and Enterprise plans:

  • The AI credits subscription is annual and follows your contract term, so the month-to-month option you saw on Professional isn't available here.
  • Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated.
  • Downgrades and cancellations can only be made in the 30-day window before your renewal date.

In the meantime, these Figma Learn articles cover how AI credits and additional credit purchases work:

We may not have an update from the team until regular business hours, but we'll make sure this gets sorted out as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience while we follow up.
