Cannot access Figma MCP server

Hi Team,
One of the user is not able to access Figma MCP server though he has a valid license.

Request you to please look into this and provide the solution.

below is the user details.

User Name: Yonatan Tal 

Email id: yonatan.tal@medtronic.com

Environment : Figma - Prod

Server name: figma
URL: https://mcp.figma.com/mcp
Type: HTTP (remote)
Purpose: design-to-code, design context, Code Connect

Hi, ​@shadab.ahmad 👋 Thanks for posting this for Yonatan! To help me track down the issue, could you get a few details from him?

  • Which client is he connecting from? (VS Code, Cursor, Claude Code, etc.) Supported list here: Guide to the Figma MCP server

  • What exactly happens when he connects? Auth error, "invalid token," timeout, or does Figma never show up as a server option?

  • His seat/plan? The remote server is available on all seats and plans, while the desktop server requires a Dev or Full seat on a paid plan

  • Does he have access to the specific file he's trying to reach (not just a general seat)?

  • If possible, ask him to run the whoami MCP tool and share the output, plus a quick unzoomed screen recording of the failure
