Can't use the figma make point and edit toolbar

I am experiencing a bug with the point and edit feature in Figma Make. I can select an element, but as soon as I try to move my cursor to the edit toolbar, the toolbar disappears and I can’t interact with it. This is happening both in the desktop app (MacOS) and on my browser (Firefox).

I understand you're experiencing an issue with the Point and Edit tool where the toolbar disappears when you try to move your cursor to it.

I tested this on my end and it worked as expected by following these steps:

  1. Click the Point and Edit tool from the upper right
  2. In the preview, click the element you want to modify
  3. Make changes using the toolbar

Could you double-check if you're following the same steps? If the toolbar keeps disappearing at step 3, please try the following:

  • Make sure you're on the latest version of both your browser and the Figma desktop app
  • Try refreshing the preview
  • Try refreshing the page
  • Try duplicating the Figma Make file and using the Point and Edit tool in the new copy

  1. Go to the Support Hub
  2. Type "Report a bug" and click Start a chat
  3. In the form, please include:
    • The URL of your file with Can view access granted to support-share@figma.com (this won't affect your billing)
    • A screen recording of the issue showing the full Figma screen

This will help our team reproduce and investigate the issue more effectively.
