[Resolved] can't update branch with main file

Will Reese

When I click update to update my branch with the main file, I get this prompt. This just started happened within the last 2 weeks or so. This is unique to me, my other team members are not having this issue. thanks

Hello @Will Reese and anyone following along — I checked in with the teams working on this, and I’ve got some good news: This issue has been resolved. ✅

💡 If you’re still running into the error, try restarting your browser or the Figma Desktop App, and that should do the trick.

Appreciate your patience while we worked through this — hope this gets things back on track.

Hey @Will Reese — welcome to Figma Forum, and sorry you’re running into trouble with updating your branch.

Appreciate you providing a screenshot of the error — I took a closer look into that message on my end, and this appears to be something our Technical Quality team will need to sort out. To get that going, please fill out this form and include:

  • a link to the file where this is happening
  • edit access granted to support-share@figma.com for the impacted file
  • a link to this Forum post for reference.

Once that’s submitted, we can take a deeper dive into the settings and help get things back on track. Thanks for your patience, and let us know if anything else comes up. 🙏🏻
