Can't submit prompts in Figma Make, error srid_WV34877BFG1ZW8VRZRA8YKJ08

I tried uploading a file that failed to upload because it was too large. I then broke it down into two parts to submit sequentially, but the first attempt gave me the message: “Message can’t be sent. Remove some files or text and try again.”

Now, no matter what I try to prompt (with or without attachment) I get that same message.

I have tried:

  • Restarting Figma
  • Restarting my computer
  • Duplicating the file and working from the copy (it inherits the problem)
  • Looking in Settings > General for the fabled “Clear Context” button (it does not exist)

Hey both, thanks for flagging this, and sorry for the trouble!

A few questions to help narrow down what's happening:

1. Does the same error happen if you start a brand-new Figma Make file, or only in the file where this started?
2. Are you using the web browser or the desktop app. And if browser, which one?
3. What were you attaching right before this first appeared an image, an exported frame, a code/text file? Roughly what size?

Once we have these information I can escalate this internally with the team. Thank you for your help!
