Can’t log in — authentication code goes to an email no longer in use

Hi Figma team, I’m locked out of my account and hoping support can help. I know my password, but Figma sends an authentication code to my account email which I no longer have access to, so I can’t complete the login. I’d like to update the email on the account. It’s a personal account I created myself, and I’m happy to verify ownership. I can provide signup details, file and team names, and my usual login location. What’s the best way to get this resolved? Thanks!

Hi @Luna365 , thanks for reaching out! Before going through the full support process, there's a quick workaround worth trying first: do you have email forwarding set up from your old email address to your new one?

If so, you can reset your password — this lets you bypass the authentication code step and log back into your account. Once you're in, you can update your email address directly from your account settings. Here's how → Manage your email adress or password.

If you don't have forwarding set up, no worrie, the best next step is to submit a support request so our team can verify your ownership and update the email manually: Figma Support. (We cannot handle account related issue in the Forum due to security reasons here).

Please make sure to indicate via the secure form the email address currently on the account and the new email address you'd like to use. The team will guide you through the next steps from there. 🙏
