Can't add new users even though I am an admin

I need to add a new user to our figma account. We have open seats, I am an admin and I don’t have the ability to do this (see screenshot).

This is critical for a new designer who needs access by 3/13.

Hey @Berni, thanks for reaching out!

Can you check if Domain capture is enabled for your Organization? If so, this means members are automatically added to your organization with no need to send an invite.

Guests on the other hand will need to directly ben invited to the resources they need to collaborate on. Members are people in the organization that have a email address that matches any of the organization's domains. Guest refers to anyone in the organization that doesn't have a company email. They could be contractors, agencies, clients, or external collaborators. Guests don't have access to everything in the entire organization, only the specific teams, files, or projects to which you invite them. It's not possible to make a guest a member, unless you give them a company email.

Here’s the Help Center article with more details: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360040453113-Add-members-or-guests-to-an-organization

If the user is already in the org but just doesn’t have a seat assigned, you can assign one by:

  1. Going to Admin in the left sidebar
  2. Selecting the People tab
  3. Clicking their current seat type in the Seat type column
  4. Choosing the appropriate seat

If none of the above resolves it, given the time sensitivity. I’d recommend reaching out to Support via the chatbot: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/requests/new. Feel free to share your support ticket number here. I’m happy to help flag it internally to make sure it gets prioritised.
