Scaling breaks in component instances if a variable was used for the initial sizing. The instance does not match its source component.

How are you scaling things, you should use the scaling tool
Regardless of what tool is used, there should never be a visual difference between a component and a fresh instance of that component. But yes, to answer your question, I used the scaling tool
