The screenshot says it all, but here is an exact problem statement in text:
- If I create a slot, then within that slot select an image or anything, press Command G to make it a group. I cannot change the group into a frame on the top right.
- If I do this outside of a slot, I have no problem changing the group into a frame (2nd screenshot shows the regular behavior)
Workaround is to Frame selection directly via right click on the layer name
