Browsing the community

When browsing the community page, clicking on content to enter the details page and then going back causes the page to return to the top. This is very frustrating because, while browsing various creative works, I inevitably click "Details" to view the creator's other content. Once I return to the previous page, it resets to the top instead of staying at the position of the content I was just viewing.

Hi @Higgsbosons, thanks for flagging this!

I understand how disruptive this can be mid-browse, especially when you've scrolled through a lot of content. What you're experiencing is actually a known issue: when you navigate away from the Community page (whether by clicking into a resource or a creator's profile) and then press back, the page reloads and resets to the top rather than returning you to where you were. This is something our team is actively working on. A couple of quick questions to help us understand your experience better:

  • Are you browsing via figma.com/community, or from within the Figma app (the Community tab in the file browser)?
  • Does this happen after you've clicked "Load more" / "See more" to paginate, or even from your initial scroll position?

In the meantime, one temporary solution that may help: open community resources in a new tab (right-click → open in new tab) to keep your Community browse session intact in the original tab. We appreciate you taking the time to report this. Please follow-up with the details above, and I’ll pass it onto our team. The details should help the team prioritize a fix.
