Broken prototype scroll on responsive content scale

Hi everyone,

I’m experiencing a bug that completely breaks page scrolling when the prototype content is set to “Responsive”. There is basically no way to scroll down.

I tested multiple prototypes that were working correctly before. I’m on the version 126.9.10 and reloaded the tabs.

Please look into this issue, as it makes prototypes unusable at this point. Thanks

Hey everyone, thanks for flagging this!

A few details from anyone affected would really help narrow this down:

  1. Are you seeing this in a browser, the desktop app, or both? If you can share the exact version number you're on for each, that helps us line it up with the update.
  2. Does the scroll issue happen only when content scale is set to Responsive, or also on other scale options you have available?
  3. On the top-level frame, what's Scroll behavior > Overflow set to in the Prototype tab (Prototype scroll and overflow behavior covers where to find this)? If you temporarily switch it to Vertical, does scrolling come back?
  4. If you're able to, submitting a quick bug report through the Support Hub with a link to one of the affected files would really help. Our guide on what's useful to include in a bug report has a few tips if you want a reference.

I'll keep this thread open and share updates as soon as we have them.

  1. Both browser and desktop app (MacOS)
  2. Only when content scale is set responsive.
  3. This fixed it. For the most part...

No idea how I’ve been using figma for years and this has never come up despite me using this dropdown for horizontal scroll thousands of times. Why does the scrolling work despite it being set to “no scroll” as the overflow behaviour on other content scale options?

I will have to log on later and have a look at the exact setup but the issue is in the browser and the app, it was all working fine before. I just went to show someone how the prototype works and how we can show clients on something that worked fine a few months back and its broken.

  1. Browser and Desktop App 126.9.11
  2. Only if set to responsive
  3. Setting the overflow to vertical fixes it

Same here, just adding a note.

  1. Both browser and desktop app (Windows)
  2. Only when content scale is set responsive.
  3. Setting the overflow to vertical fixes, but still doesn’t hugging the content yet (It leaves an empty/white overflow)
