Both Default & Gemini 3 Pro are Hallucinating & I Cannot Restore Checkpoints

All of a sudden Claude stopped producing, so I switched to Gemini Pro and it behaved in the same way and just started making it’s own changes. I tried to go back to the checkpoints and that's not working either. This is getting a bit scary!

Everything was working almost too well, until it stopped. All of a sudden Claude stopped producing, so I switched to Gemini Pro and it behaved in the same way and just started making it’s own changes. I tried to go back to the checkpoints and that's not working either. This is getting a bit scary! Now, we are experiencing hallucinations in a constant loop of fixing issues that do not get resolved for hours. In addition to random design changes. Collectively spending 3 and 4 hours on the same issues. This is not sustainable for us.

Hi ​@Truth Seeker - sorry for the trouble. Can you tell me more about how things have stopped producing?

Are you hitting a specific error message as well? When it starts making it’s own changes, does your input just suddenly change your entire design at once? Or do you notice a gradual changes, like elements suddenly change one at a time?

It’s hard to tell at this moment what’s going on, but happy to look into this more. If you are able to get a screen recording, can you PM me? I know your files may contain info you don’t want to display publicly, so you can reach out to me with that there.

Hello,

 

Sometimes there are error messages, sometime it’s an endless loop of hallucinations, things it claims to fix and does not, sometimes random design changes. It only to my knowledge does the design changes close to the location I am working on, which is interesting. But also I will notice things changed in other areas. A screen recording could be helpful if I can predict when it does this, otherwise I do not see how that could help us. I try to alternate the models which helps a little. 

The amount of time I spend looping endlessly on a single issue is ridiculous. I don’t know what you can do about that, perhaps other than a credit or something. I use this quite a bit and again spend a huge amount of time going in circles, and I’m dizzy from it.

I completely understand how disruptive this must have been. We had a service disruption on January 23rd when you originally posted this topic: https://status.figma.com/incidents/ws5z74jhgmn3

We launched a fix for it about 16 hours after is was reported. Are you still having issues with Claude and Gemini Pro?

Yes, I am going in circles with production. Some times the ai just stops following directions, even clearing large parts of the app when trying to restore checkpoints. It’s a bit scary to see months of work get destroyed. I guess it’s good when it wants to work. We are resituating our diversifying our workflow to deal with this uncertainty.
