Billing Dispute & Refund Request – Charges Not Reflecting Actual Usage

Diego Campos

Hello Figma Billing Team,

I am writing to dispute charges on my account that do not reflect my actual plan usage.

I am on the Professional plan with only 1 assigned seat (my own). I have 0 AI credits used, and my 10 view-only seats are listed as free. Despite this, my recent invoices show the following:

- April 3, 2026: $5.00 USD
- May 3, 2026: $35.00 USD
- June 3, 2026: $20.00 USD

Based on my plan and usage, I should only be charged $16/month for my single Full seat (or $5 if I am on a Collab/lower tier). The charges for May and June are significantly higher than expected and do not correspond to any seat additions, plan upgrades, or AI credit usage on my part.

I kindly request:
1. A detailed breakdown of what generated the May and June charges.
2. A refund for any amount billed beyond my single assigned seat.

I have screenshots of my billing history and current seat usage available if needed.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Best regards,
Diego

Hey @Diego Campos , thanks for reaching out and for the detailed breakdown!

  1. The additional charges were related to a seat upgrade from a Collab seat to a Full seat that was triggered when edits were made to one of your design files. Please note, when a user performs an action that requires a higher seat type, Figma displays an in-product prompt asking to upgrade before access is granted. This is what caused the seat change and the higher charges in May and June.
  2. Regarding your refund request, the support team will review your specific case and assist you from there.

Please check your support ticket for the full detailed breakdown and next steps. For reference, your case number is #1942886. I'll go ahead and close this thread here, thanks for your understanding 🙏
