Billing Dispute: Accidental Dev Mode seat assignment on Organization Plan

Dear Figma Support Team,

I am writing to request assistance regarding a billing issue on our Organization Plan account.

Context: Our company currently subscribes to the Organization Plan with 20 pre-paid Full seats (Design seats) for a 1-year term.

The Issue: While managing user permissions, I accidentally assigned a Dev Mode seat to a user. Upon realizing the mistake, I immediately reverted the user back to a Full seat (Design seat). This Dev seat was not utilized.

However, I noticed that the system is still charging us for this Dev seat for the remainder of the billing period. Regarding this situation, I have two specific questions:

  1. Consequences of Non-payment: What will happen to our account if we do not pay the invoice for this specific Dev seat, considering it was an error and the seat is not in use?

  2. Removal of Charge: Since the Dev seat is not being used and was assigned in error, how can I completely remove this charge from our upcoming invoice?

Feedback on Billing Logic: I would also like to express my dissatisfaction with how this charge was applied. It feels unreasonable to be charged for an extra Dev seat when our account still has unused slots available within our 20 pre-paid Full seats.

I believe the system should prioritize filling the available pre-paid slots or offer a grace period for accidental assignments before locking in a charge for the entire term.

I look forward to a prompt response and a resolution to waive this fee.
