We’re updating our ORION design library to offer compacting modes. We’ve noticed an issue that seems to have been commented on here before (in threads that are now closed). Certain elements - really, just icons - seem to behave inconsistently when a compacting mode is applied. This appears to be true regardless of whether we apply a var to one dimension and lock the aspect ratio or we apply the var to both dimensions. We’ve checked our design system icons and can find no difference in the way they are drawn and structured. For our designers working in compact themes, this creates unwanted visual distortion, obviously. To illustrate:
