Annotation tags disappear if copy + pasted to another file

Within a file you can copy and paste frames with annotations while their tags remain but if you copy frames or components to another file, the annotations get copied which is great but their tags unfortunately disappear.

Expected behavior: Annotation tags should remain if copy and pasted to another file.

Hi @Dennis_N, thanks for following up and looping me in!

I just tested this on my end, and it does seem to be fixed for me. Are you able to share your file with our support team here? https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Our technical quality team may be better suited to do a deeper dive into what’s happening with you one one one.

Thanks, I reached out to the technical support. In the meantime I found out that this bug can’t be reproduced within freshly created files (“post fix”). Older filed, created before figma launched the fix (“pre fix”) still have this issue. Unfortunately the majority of files we are working in were created before.

I’ve had a similar issue, but the tags are disappearing if I’m working on them in a branch and merge them into the main file. I was planning on starting a new thread, but thought I’d post here. Can anyone replicate this?
