Im currently designing my portfolio, and I have added some videos to the file, they are no longer than 10 seconds and less than 15mb, they were made in high quality, but once I add them to figma they look terrible when I try the preview or the presentation mode. It doesnt matter if its smaller, or the exact same pixels size as the original video, figma ruins their quality and i need it to look crisp and good asap!!

Before I dig into troubleshooting, I want to make sure I point you in the right direction: is this happening in Figma Design (in a prototype's Present mode), in Figma Slides, or somewhere else, like Figma Make? And could you share the exact resolution of your video files, along with the size of the frame or shape they're placed in?
One thing worth trying in the meantime: close out any other Figma tabs, then fully quit and reopen your browser (or the desktop app, if that's what you're using), and see if that changes anything.

it is a Figma Design, when I try the prototype's Present modethe videos look all pixelated. I am using the desktop app, but even when i try the link on the web it looks the same. The videos were made in after effects, at a size of 1920x1080 full resolution. One of the videos is the exact same size in the figma project and it is 8 seconds long, the other one i put it in a 436x582 square shape, and it is only like 2 seconds long because it is a loop, but the both lost their quality the same way. I even tried compressing the videos because maybe they were to heavy but nothing changed. The thing is I wanted to add more videos, short loops for my titles, which Im planning to do in after effects, but I need to get this fixed.
I already tried clearing the cache by restarting my figma app, and it fixed other bugs I had but not this.

What you're describing matches a known limitation in how Figma currently handles video, rather than anything specific to your file or setup:
- When a video is added to a prototype, Figma processes it in the background so it can stream reliably across different devices and connections. That processing is what's introducing the quality loss you're seeing.
- It can happen regardless of the video's original resolution or the size of the frame it sits in, which lines up with both your full-size 1920x1080 video and your smaller 436x582 loop losing quality the same way.
- It's also independent of desktop app vs. web, which matches what you found.
I don't have a quick fix to hand you today, and I'd rather be upfront about that than send you on a wild goose chase. This has been flagged internally as a limitation worth addressing for a while now, but I don't have a timeline to share. I'm adding your report to what we already have on file so it keeps visibility.
One thing worth trying for the extra title loops you mentioned: export those clips as close as possible to the pixel size they'll actually display at in your frame, rather than scaling a larger file down inside Figma.
