I used the AI to generate changes and then the changes claim to have been made but reset after a while which didn't use to happen before, now I have 300 AI credits left. And That’s not fair at all

Hey @AKANKALI FUMNANYA MATTHEW, thanks for reaching out!

AI credits are consumed based on the work performed for a prompt, not on whether the output ends up persisting in your file. So even when a generation reverts or a preview doesn't load, credits are still used if the model did the work and this holds even if you undo the change afterward, since the task has already been processed. You can read more in How AI credits work.

That said, changes applying and then reverting on their own isn't something that should happen as standard behavior, so this is worth having our team look at your account specifically rather than us guessing from here.

A couple of things that would help:

  1. Check your file's version history to see whether the version with those AI-generated changes is still saved there. It may still be recoverable even though the current state reverted.
  2. Open a request through our Support Hub, and mention which Figma product you were working in (Figma Design's AI tools, or Figma Make) along with roughly when this happened. That'll let us dig into your account and figure out exactly what happened.

Hope this helps!
