Ирина Скворцова

Hello,I am facing a critical problem with a file named "Untitled" located in my Drafts folder, which I have been actively working on for more than 6 months. After running Help → Troubleshooting → Reset and Reload in the desktop application, the file lost all of its content. It currently opens as a completely blank canvas in both the desktop app and the web version.Unfortunately, I cannot retrieve the direct URL from the tab, but it should be under my account drafts as an empty "Untitled" file. I have already checked the "Deleted" / "Trash" tab, but it is not there.Could you please check my account's backend data history to locate and rollback this specific document?Sincerely, Irina. Hey @Ирина Скворцова , Celine from the Community Support team at Figma here. I'm so sorry to hear this happened, especially after working on the file for such a long time! I've gone ahead and created a support ticket so our support team can look into your account and the file history directly.

In the support case, please reply with as much detail as possible about what happened, including:

  • The email address associated with your Figma account (I removed it from your forum post to protect your privacy).
  • The approximate date and time the issue occurred.
  • Confirmation that the issue started immediately after using Help → Troubleshooting → Reset and Reload.
  • Any additional details that might help identify the affected file, and share any screenshot to better visualise the issue.

For reference, your support case is 2036833 sent to your email address: ix.sxxa@gxxx.xxm

Our support team will review the details and investigate what happened. They'll follow up with you directly through your support case as soon as they have an update.

In the meantime, here are a few things you can try:

  • Try locating the file by sorting your Drafts by "Last modified" rather than searching by name, since it's titled "Untitled." If you've opened it recently in a browser, your browser history (for figma.com/file or figma.com/design) may also help you locate the direct file URL.
  • If you are able to find the file:
    - check the file's version history
: Open the blank file, click the file name dropdown at the top, then select Show version history. If you see a version from before running ‘Reset and Reload’ that still contains your work, you may be able to restore it. (Please note that files in personal Drafts retain version history for up to 30 days on Starter teams). More information in this Help Center article here.
If the version history is also blank, avoid making further edits to the file for now. This helps preserve its current state while our team investigates.

Thank you for patience while the team investigates it!

Update: the support agent replied to you with the next steps. Please check your inbox and continue the conversation directly via the secure form for further investigation. I am closing the Forum thread here, thank you!
