Hi everyone,

I need help with my Figma Professional billing.

I accidentally added another account/member to my team because I was trying to get access/AI credits for that account. I did not realize that it would add or upgrade the account to a paid seat. After adding it, my billing increased and now I’m seeing an extra $27.10 fee.I already tried fixing it by removing/downgrading the extra account and making sure the other account is not using a paid seat. But even after removing everything, the fee is still showing in my billing/upcoming invoice.

My situation:

I only wanted to keep my original paid seat/plan.

I accidentally added an extra paid seat.

I already removed or changed the extra account back.

The extra $27.10 fee is still showing.

I’m not sure if this will still be charged or if it can be removed before the invoice.

Has anyone experienced this before?

Is there a way to remove the accidental extra seat fee from the upcoming invoice, especially if the seat was removed right away and no one is using it anymore? I already tried changing the seat type and removing the extra user, but the billing amount still did not go back to normal.

Any advice would really help. Thank you!

Hi @Jek Lwrence, Celyn from Figma Community Support here. Thanks for sharing all of this context.

I understand that you accidentally added an additional paid seat while trying to give another account access to AI features, and that you’ve already removed/downgraded the extra seat but are still seeing the additional $27.10 charge reflected in your billing - appreciate you taking quick action to try to correct the extra seat once you noticed it.

Happy to help clarify here. Adding an additional paid seat can result in a prorated charge for the period that seat was active during your billing cycle. Removing or downgrading the seat afterward will usually prevent future recurring charges for that seat, but charges that were already generated during the period the seat was assigned may still remain on the upcoming invoice.

You can read more about how seat billing works here:

While we’re unable to handle billing issues directly in the forum, I was able to locate your existing support ticket (#1923368), and I’ve gone ahead and added some internal visibility for the team there so they have the full context around the accidental seat addition and billing concern.

Please keep an eye on your inbox - the Billing team will take a closer look at your invoice details and get back to you as soon as they can. Appreciate your patience while they review this!
